Join us for prayer and sacred music this week.
First, we partnered with Holy Trinity for our Advent Reconciliation Service this past Tuesday, December 12th at 7:00 here at St. Helen.
We will have our annual Christmas Concert this Friday, December 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Choir will join with ours again this year. The concert will be held in our church. It is for the whole family. We will enjoy music by our Choir as well as the Hummingbirds, our Children’s Choir.
We have had some prayerful Advent happenings as well as some fun activities for our families and children. All of these events are intended to lift our spirit of expectation for the birth of Jesus Christ.
Yet, it is also very important for us to remember what a difficult time of year this can be for many. We may have friends and parishioners who may be remembering loved ones who are no longer here to celebrate with them.
Some people may be suffering the loss of good health. There may be folks who have lost their jobs, their home or perhaps the loss of some friendships.
Let us remember to reach out to those who may not be able to feel the full spirit or magic of Christmas this year. Let us pray for each other and reach out to those who may be having a difficult time and need a shoulder to lean on.
Most important now at Christmas and all through the year let us share in God’s love and compassion.
This is something we can depend on now and forever.
