Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers (over 14 years of age) are needed to prepare food
in their homes. Menus are pre-set and meat is provided by Saint Helen.

Volunteers are needed to serve food at St. Joseph’s in
Elizabeth and St. Mary’s in Plainfield.

Timing:
3rd Saturday of every month – 9:45am – 1:30pm
3rd Sunday of every month – 2:00pm – 5:00pm

The Volunteer Schedule done every 6 months

200 Families are needed to prepare baskets with the ingredients for Thanksgiving meals. (Additional turkeys are always needed.)

20 Adult Volunteers are needed the Monday before Thanksgiving
to complete these baskets at Saint Helen for needy families based
on family size

3 Volunteers with trucks are needed to deliver baskets

Timing: Mid to late November

200 Families are needed to adopt families and provide gifts for each family member

25 Adult Volunteers are needed to sort gifts for individuals

Individual donations can be made to provide clothes and toys for designated people

5 Volunteers with trucks are needed to deliver gifts in NY, Elizabeth and Jersey City

Timing: November to the beginning of December

Back packs with school supplies for all grades are needed for students in the inner cities

2 Volunteers with trucks are needed to help to deliver the backpacks in NJ

Timing: Collection of backpacks occurs during July and August

The service auction is held annually in the late Fall to support our Transitional home in Elizabeth

We seek services and gifts to be donated and then auctioned off

Volunteer committee members are needed before and during the
auction

Timing: Volunteers are generally needed in September and
October.
