“There is an appointed time for everything and a time for every affair under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:3)
Giving of Time begins with an awareness of how we use our time. This is a worthy reflection no matter what stage of life we are in – no matter what our age.
How we use our time reflects our priorities, our responsibilities, and our relationship to God. Our choice of how we spend any spare or free time is up to us.
Do we look for how we can be creative in our use of time – where or how we might offer a prayer or quiet moment of reflection to express our gratitude to God?
Do we consider that since our time is so valuable, giving of it – any of it – is an act of love and generosity?
If we had more time, would we do what we could to help others?
As we enter our season of stewardship, reflect on the question at hand – how do you spend your time?
