Registration for our Religious Education Programs began this week on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 for our classes which begin in September, 2023.
While we will welcome back many of the children who have been in our programs, I’d also welcome all our children, whether you have been involved in religious education or not. Wherever your children are on their faith journey, they are all invited to participate in our programs.
Our goal is to engage children in our Catholic faith, providing a lifelong relationship with Jesus and developing a faith development that lasts the rest of their lives.
For students in every age category, we offer catechesis and faith development. We have Year 1 and Year 2 classes which prepare our students for First Reconciliation and First Communion. Our Year 3 and Year 4 classes continue their faith journey and build on what came before. Our middle school focuses on deepening their faith as they grow and mature. Our high school students are in the catechetical program preparing them for Confirmation.
We are always seeking adult volunteers to assist in our programing. If you are interested in volunteering in our classes or in any of our small or large group settings, please reach out to Nicole Murphy for grades 1-4 and Mike Fusco for grades 5-10.
To register, go to our website and register via the mySaintHelen registration link.
And please don’t forget, for ages 2.5- 5 years, we have Kids Corner which meets during the 10:00 Mass on Sunday so that parents can attend Mass while their young children are learning about Jesus with the use of videos, puzzles and age-appropriate faith filled games. And we also have Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the same Mass for grades 1-4 almost every Sunday. And we have the same for grades 5-8 once a month now but twice a month beginning in the fall.
Please don’t forget to register and inform others that registration is open.
God Bless You,
Msgr. Tom
