Everyday Contemplatives

Overview

Mondays at 7 PM~ Resuming on January 6th
New members welcome!

Do you crave a moment of calm in the midst of your busy week? Are you looking to go deeper in your prayer? Would you benefit from being part of a supportive small community? If so, come and experience the gift of contemplative prayer led by Patrick Manning and a team of small group facilitators.

We will gather weekly to rest in God’s love and reflect on our experience of prayer and the wisdom of the contemplative tradition. Come, be still, know God, and know that you are loved.

Please join us for this beautiful prayer practice either through Contemplative Prayer or Lectio Divina. You're invited to reply above as to whether you will attend and if so, which prayer practice you will participate in.

In the contemplative prayer groups, we are reading a companion  book together -  Martin Laird's "Into the Silent Land." available at Amazon.

Patrick Manning is a Saint Helen parishioner as well as Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology and the Director of the Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University. Contemplative prayer is one of his areas of research in addition to being a personal practice. He is husband to Margaret and father to Emily, Luca, and Josie.
