Step one lays the foundation for your discernment and includes Church teaching on the nature of charisms, call and vocation. You will take the Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory and learn the signs and characteristics of the 23 most common charisms. In addition you will learn to discern the unique mission God has for you and discover how He empowered you to carry it out.

What you will learn from the initial workshop:

* The ancient teachings of the Church on how the charisms of the Holy Spirit work in your life and in the life of your parish community
* The five steps of discerning the charisms that God has given you
* The signs and characteristics of 23 of the most common charisms of the Holy Spirit
* How discerning your charisms can change your life
* How discerning your charisms can change the world and help spread the Gospel
* How discerning and using our charisms together can help transform and renew our parishes

A one hour gifts discussion with a trained interviewer from our parish can help you understand your inventory results, recognize patterns in your life that may indicate the presence of a charism and learn how to develop those charisms.

You will be able to choose a time between December and January.

Going through the charism study and interview is all preparation for the real work of discernment. You will now put into practice what you have learned and experiment with your charisms.

Four session beginning in early February and held both in person and over zoom.  For each session there will be three options:  Monday at 3:30 in person, Tuesday 7 PM over Zoom or Wednesday 7 PM in person.
The weeks for Step 3 are:
Session 1:  The week of February 9th
Session 2:  The week of March 3rd
Session 3:  The week of March 24th
Session 4: The week of Apirl 7th
